4 Nutrition n Water - Fresh & Clean. Always available. n Complete feed ration - 12% protein, 65 - 70% TDN(energy) n Hay - 1 to 2 small flakes each day n Minerals - offer a complete mineral mix free choice or topdress feed ration.

5 Amount to Feed n Steer - 2.0 - 3.5 % body weight n Heifers - 1.0 - 2.0 % body weight n Free choice water n Limit Hay n Weigh your animal n Weigh your feed n Know your target.

6 Feeding Habits n Feed twice daily n Feed animals separately n Feed at the same time each day n Change feeds or rations gradually. n Check consistency of feces. n Evaluate fat or condition of the animal daily
