No Bones About It Activity At a nearby construction site, workers have made a startling discovery. They’ve uncovered several bones that look like they were buried some time ago. You are part of a team of forensic anthropologists who have been called in to analyze the bones. http://media.thedenverchannel.com/photo/2014/06/30/vailconstructionsite_1404187946709_66 02597_ver1.0_640_480.jpg

Part II: Using a tape measure, you will work with a partner to measure your height, the length of your femur, humerus and tibia bones. What Archaeologists Learn From Bones One of the first to be killed at Jamestown in 1607. Indians attacked. Killed him and injured a man who died soon after. He was about 15 years old and about 5ft. 8in. Tall. He was buried in haste. By his right thigh bone, there was an arrowhead which would have been embedded in the tissues of his leg when buried. The boys collarbone was fractured. Evidence showed he led a hard life before he was killed. http://2totravel.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
