Towards Sustainable Mobility part of Swedish ICT To own or to drive – what is important?

Towards Sustainable Mobility part of Swedish ICT Electric cars Floating car sharing Cities 

Towards Sustainable Mobility part of Swedish ICT Cities: less congestion, less emissions and noise, better accessibility, freed up parking space Modern city people: a flexible, convenient, economical and environmentally friendly transport alternative EV manufacturers: getting electric cars to the market Energy suppliers: increased usage of installed charging infrastructure and a larger electric energy market Car sharing companies: a more attractive customer offer Many winners

Towards Sustainable Mobility part of Swedish ICT A combination of: free floating car sharing: you do not have to return the car where you picked it up but on any public parking or charging place within the area automatic setting of plug-in hybrids to EV within the area search, book and unlock cars with mobile application and RFID card (typically public transportation card) possibilities for companies to ger their ”own” charging post What is new?

Towards Sustainable Mobility part of Swedish ICT no start-up fee – to avoid threshold effects no registration fee no congestion fees no parking fees bonus for leaving car at charging station / car wash dynamic pricing depending on where you return the car Keeping it simple

Towards Sustainable Mobility part of Swedish ICT Is the proposed business model valid? 1.Is there a sufficient number of customers? 2.What do they use the service for? 3.What functionality is required in the car, at the parking place, the charging station, in the mobile phone, back-end? 4.How can cities help, with parking places etc? On what terms? 5.Which densities of cars, parking places, charging stations are required in cities like Gothenburg? 6.What charging times are required? How long are the cars parked and how long charging? 7.Is the economic model valid regarding revenues, costs, usage etc? Questions to be answered

Towards Sustainable Mobility part of Swedish ICT Target: Never more than 300 meters to nearest car Target: Never more than 300 meters to nearest car Test area Gothenburg - appr 19 km 2

Towards Sustainable Mobility part of Swedish ICT A fully charged car sharing concept
