6. Videotape library It’s tape centered It archives Tapes and not videos. This is normally the most advanced archive in the system

7. Production archive Normally it is part of the production system management. It’s another database centered on Production more than final product.

9. Why so different Mainly it’s an historical reason IT system jumps in broadcasting to solve single areas problems not to organize the Tv.

10. How to use them How much this content is valuable How many times the archive content has been reused. How many times it has been searched

11. Hard approach Create a new archive system Create a new MAM database Convert all the existing files following the new rules Convert all the metadata in the new format. Force the users to use it!!! Use the new MAM interface to perform all the operations

17. API-Dbview This is the interface for the extreme case Quite every database allows to create a view or a virtual table with the required info This view can be ‘exposed’ for the connection

18. TXT-CSV Those are also simple interfaces. The mam system can read them and update the archive as they are updated
