3 ISA-SP101 Scope Scope: This standard establishes software-based HMI design criteria for industrial control and information systems. Including: –Information display –Process visualization –User interaction –Performance –Documentation &Training

4 ISA-SP101 Purpose Purpose: This standard defines requirements for the evaluation, design, development, implementation and maintenance of efficient, effective, safe, and user-friendly HMI’s.

5 Key Areas for Discussion in Standard Based on the topics identified in our Scope statement, the following areas will become the key categories of our standard and will be defined more specifically as we continue our work. –Definitions –Information display –Process visualization –User interaction –Performance –Documentation &Training
