1. Hello My name is Danielle Fitzgerald

2. A little bit about me I am 27 years old and have been married since I was 19. My husband and I have one child who is seven and one who I just gave birth to on October 1 st (which is why I am late posting!)! We live in a small town outside of Fayetteville, NC. I am a lead NC Pre-k teacher right now and am currently on maternity leave.

3. Professional Goals Finish this class and obtain my Master’s in Education Obtain a teaching licensure for B-K Obtain a teaching licensure for K-6

4. MAED I got my Bachelor’s in Social Science with Education Concentration in Jan. of 2012. I started working with children in July of 2012 and decided the following year to pursue a Master’s in Education. I wanted to gain more specific knowledge about children with a Master’s in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood.

5. Challenges of MAED I did not think the MAED program was too hard. I hard to work longer and harder to achieve better grades in the Master’s program but it was nothing that I could not handle. I have had a 4.0 the entire program with an A in every class up until the last class of Family and Community Engagement. That class was a bit harder for me and I am not sure why! I ended up getting a B. I am determined to get an A in this final class! I have gained so much knowledge about teaching and learning from all of these classes because I feel they have taught me ways to be a better teacher. Currently I am a NC Pre-k teacher and I think these courses have helped me become a better teacher.
