5. Where is crude oil turned into gasoline? A refinery is a factory where crud oil from the ground is refined and made into products.

6. Spindletop 1902 The discovery at Spindletop 1902 marked the beginning of the Texas Oil boom. It inspired others to drill around the area in search of Oil. (“wildcatters”). The Oil industry increased the population and development of many Texas Cities.

7. Monopoly wasn’t just a game… Oil companies that survived the initial boom grew into major companies such as the Gulf Oil corporation and the Standard Oil Company.
