GLENWOOD FACTS All of Plain Local’s 5 th and 6 th Graders Approximately 900 students 47 teachers, plus support staff 5 Community Teams 3 Teachers Math, Language Arts, & Science/Social Studies Core Classes meet every day for 2 periods (80 minutes total) We run an “A Day” / “B Day” schedule for the Arts Specials/Arts meet every other day for period (40 minutes total)

GIFTED & ENRICHED CLASSES Green 1 Team Students who have been identified by district testing (Terra Nova) according to Ohio requirements Gifted Superior Cognitive (IQ) Gifted Reading Gifted Math Higher Expectations of Responsibilities & Rigor Elementary Blended Classes does NOT mean a student is identified gifted and would be automatically placed in this community. Gold 1 - Mr. Wendell’s Enriched Math Homeroom Students who are identified by district testing (Terra Nova) or demonstrated high aptitude in math.

SPECIAL EDUCATION All IEP’s and 504’s transfer Selena Rossetti (Case Manager) Core + Interventions will be mandated to meet needs IEP Teams can meet at any time to discuss and re-evaluate Resource Room for Math & LA ID room Star Room (Sensory Needs) Set up one-on-one meetings in June or August as needed.

COMMUNICATION GET INVOLVED How we communicate with you: Glenwood’s Facebook Page (Like us) & Glenwood’s Weekly Newsletter Community Weekly Emails, Teachers’ Websites, & Online Gradebook Glenwood’s Website Breakfast with the Principal (every 9 weeks) 24-hour turnaround expectation (emails or phone calls) How you can be involved: Have lunch with your student Monthly PTO Meetings Volunteer for clubs, band/strings/choir concerts, or school activities. Contact us if you ever have a concern! We cannot fix it if we are not aware of the problem. Please give us the opportunity to find a positive outcome to any situation.
