Screen visibility and ergonomics
The ability to view data and applications, on screen, in the field, is critical for productive working. So the CF-31 offers a market- leading balance of all round visibility with 1.200cd. How does it do this? Panasonic CirculuminTM • Polarizer film passes only horizontally polarized light • Retardant film converts horizontal polarization to right-handed circular polarization • Upon reflection, right-handed polarization changes into left-handed polarization • Retardant film converts left-handed polarized light to vertically polarized light • Polarizer film rejects vertically polarized light • Outbound light from LCD is horizontally polarized, then it can pass all the way through (in fact, direction of polarizer film is chosen to match LCD polarization) polarization film Horizontal Retardant film Right handed polarized Horizontal polarized daylight Reflected left handed polarized Vertically polarized LDC LDC screen produces horizontally polarized light 24
25
