7 Grading Scale Grading Scale- S+ (90-100%) Student is making outstanding progress and consistently meets objectives. S (80-89%) Student is making steady progress and consistently meets objectives. S- (70-79%) Student is able to meet the objectives once in awhile, but is having a hard time meeting them. N (0-69%) Student needs support and can meet objectives with more time and assistance. Lion’s Pride- S+ in Conduct and Work Habits as well as two or fewer late homework assignments per quarter

11 LRES Birthday Policy LRES is supporting the PWC Wellness Policy… Encouraging students to celebrate in ways that contribute to good health and well-being other than eating cupcakes and sugary treats… 10 extra minutes of recess Donating a book to class by child Donate a game for indoor recess A small token for each student in class (ex. Pencils vs. Cupcakes) Parent guest reader If your child would like to celebrate his/her birthday, there is a GREEN form that will go home to choose a healthy “treat”. Please choose ONE treat.

12 Mystery Readers! I am looking for a parent, grandparent, etc. to come to class and read a book of his/her choice to students every other week. I never tell the children who the week's mystery reader will be, and I encourage you to keep the surprise, as well. Students can't wait to see who the mystery reader will be!

17 Thank you for coming! Please write “A Love Note” to your child so she/he can read it in the morning… If you see an empty desk next to you (no parent), please write that child a short love note too…that way every child has a note and feels LOVED!
