3 RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS  I bought the Californication album on a road trip to Utah Park City. I believe I listened to the album at least 20 times on that trip. 4 RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE Top Favorite Rage Songs People of the SunRenegades of Funk Know thy EnemyCalm like a Bomb MariaWithout a Face Bulls on ParadeFreedom  I enjoyed rage from the first song I heard by them, “Guerilla Radio” which ends up being my least favorite of the songs. They had high intensity and a very solid rhythm section.

5 Through the mix of Tim Bob (bassist of RATM) and Flea (bassist of RHCP) I picked up an ear for the electric bass. The low tone, earthy, groovy instrument just called for me, and its quick growing recognition as a solo instrument gave it many possibilities. So I bought a $50 no name 4 string bass, and a tine 15 watt amp and went to town.

6 One Accompanies the Other. Through the beginning I had a partner in this new experience into music. B was his nick name, grew up together since year 2 of our lives. We were born for rhythm, I picked up the bass and he got himself a drum set. Every day all day we would disrupt his parents once peaceful afternoons.

8 Senior Year of High School I joined the Jazz Band Making a huge decisions to start the learning process of Double Bass Began the aural discipline I needed to progress musically  Along with Jazz band I joined Symphonic Orchestra  Picked up the French Bow for the first time  Throught the help of my piers I gathered the basic technique I needed to accomplish the class expectations.  I wanted to go further.

9 Through my music Director I met Tom Erickson. We began lessons together which became the most difficult and asking time for my music experience to date. He taught me more than just techniques, he taught me the devotion it takes to exceeded in the study of classical music.

10 Early on I joined a Funk band from Grand Rapids, we have been playing at bars all over Michigan for the past 3 years, its fun and it puts food on my table.

11 To this Day. Western Michigan University Experience. I came to Western to seek two degrees. Business Management This to help me excel in the business aspects of enterainement. Music Performance with a concentration in Jazz Studies.
