CRUISE CONTROL ENABLE: 7600 allows the driver to use an automotive style cruise control. CC MAX VEHICLE SPEED:7604 sets the fastest speed able to be set for Cruise Control. CC MIN VEHICLE SPEED:7603 is the minimum vehicle speed at which cruise control can be engaged. Idle Speed Default: Disable Recommended: Enable (Must be DISABLED with Eaton Ultrashift) IDLE SPD ADJUST – MAX ENG SPEED:8212 is the maximum engine idle RPM the driver can set. Default: 600 RPM Min/Max: 600-750 IDLE ENGINE SPEED:8202 is the engine speed a warm engine will return to when no additional fueling is being requested. Default: 600 RPM Min/Max: 600-750 (650 with Eaton Ultrashift) Recommended: 600 IDLE SPD ADJUST – BUMP STEP:8216 is the amount the idle will be adjusted with each press of the SET/RESUME buttons Default: 10 RPM Min/Max: 0-50 PROSTAR DURASTAR – WORKSTAR TRANSTAR

EDUCATION CONFIDENTIAL and Proprietary to Navistar Cold Ambient Protection/Idle Shutdown Sequence ENGINE WARM-UP (CAP):9400 – Cold Ambient Protection is a feature that protects the engine and improves warm-up by adjusting the idle between 600-1000 rpm when: Ambient air temp below 20 °C (68 °F) Coolant temp below 70 °C (158 °F) Engine has been idling at no load for over 5 minutes CANNOT BE ENABLED WITH EATON ULTRASHIFT IDLE SHUTDOWN TIMER starts counting when IDLE SHUTDOWN MODE is set and the vehicle meets all of the following conditions (and any programmed limits): Engine running Stationary CAP is not active -Amber light and audible warning at 30 seconds to go -Engine shuts down, but all electric features remain operating -Drivers can RESET or OVERRIDE depending on settings Cycling the key switch after shutdown enables the engine to be restarted IDLE SHUT DOWN DPF is not being manually regen’d In park (automatic) or neutral

EDUCATION CONFIDENTIAL and Proprietary to Navistar IDLE SHUTDOWN MODE:7400 enables the Idle Shutdown Timer (IST) and sets the basic conditions under which it will function: (0)DISABLE – IST will not function (Cold Ambient Protection is enabled) (1)PTO OPTION – Engine will not shut down when PTO is engaged (2)NO LOAD – Engine will shut down if PTO is engaged and engine load is below the IST IDLE SHUTDOWN MAX ENG TRQ setting (3)TAMPER PROOF – Operates similar to NO LOAD, but prevents driver from disabling the IST Cycling the key switch after shutdown enables the engine to be restarted Idle Shutdown Mode Default: 0 – Disable

IST TIME W/PARK BRK SET: 7404 sets the allowed idle time before automatic shut down when the parking brake IS set. IST IDLE SHUTDOWN MAX ENG TRQ: 7409 only applies when IDLE SHUTDOWN MODE 2 is set. The IST will NOT shutdown the engine if it is running above this threshold. IST LATCHED DRIVER OVERRIDE EN:7407 allows the driver to override rather than reset the IST when MODE 1 or MODE 2 is set. EDUCATION CONFIDENTIAL and Proprietary to Navistar IST AMBIENT TEMP OVERRIDE EN:7408 can be used in very warm or cold climates to prevent the IST from shutting down the engine when the ambient temp is outside the programmed limits. IST INT AMB TEMP ENABLE:7405 allows the driver to override (rather than reset) the IST when the ambient temperature is between the programmed minimum and intermediate limits. With an automatic transmission, limits are always applied by the gear number, regardless of the state of the transfer case or two-speed axle.

CUSTOMER UNIT NUMBER:6605 is used to load a unique customer identifier for the vehicle. HARD BRAKING INCIDENT COUNTER:8904 is enabled to allow the ECM to monitor and record excessive braking by the vehicle operator. HARD BRAKING DECEL THRESHOLD:8905 is the deceleration rate that triggers a recording in the ECM. Actual speed change is affected by factors including load and available engine power. PTO BUMP UP/DOWN STEP:7525 is the amount of increase or decrease in engine speed called for when the SET and RESUME buttons are pressed and the PTO is operating in VARIABLE or MOBILE modes.
