What is management? Definition: Engagement with peoples’ talent and resources within the organization to achieve goals or objectives. Branch of management Eg: Human resource management Financial management Marketing management All of them are management Boundless 1

Organizing Definition: the process of managing workers and recourses so that they be used effectively in order to achieve the goal. After planning you need to organize people and use the available resources to achieve the company goals and objectives. Controlling Definition: "Control consists of verifying whether everything occurs in conformity with the plan adopted, the instructions issued, and principles established. It's object is to point out weaknesses and errors in order to rectify [them] and prevent recurrence.“ Eg: you need to compare if the actives which are being done are aligned with the plan set to achieve the goals. Directing It is a management which involves learning thought listening from the manager to employees. Scenario: when you are giving direction on how to attach document on an email. StrengthWeakness - It allows demonstration- It do not allow collaboration

Delegating It is a management which involves learning thought empowerment of employees. Scenario: you have two meetings to attend, and you can not attend all of them at same time. In this situation, you delegate one of the employees to go and attend one of them. StrengthWeakness It allows collaboration by asking clarifying questions The planning and implementation process is done by the employees

Discussing It is a management which involves learning thought interaction between the manager and employees Scenario: you’re a marketing manager and the sales have declined. You decide to sit together with all employee in the department of marketing to talk about the issues and possible solutions. StrengthWeakness - Employee can share their opinion though all activies - It is time consuming
