2 Why does mass matter? Quarter 2: Forces - Requires an understanding of acceleration and mass. Notes: Mass – A measure of the amount of matter in an object. An indicator about how difficult it is to change an object’s motion or accelerate. A measure of the strength of its gravitational attraction to other bodies.
