What is There to See and Do? City & Art Nouveau Tour The sights visited are spread across the city and include the most outstanding examples of Art Nouveau architecture Budapest has to offer and are therefore better combined with the standard city tour. The tour includes external viewings of buildings as well as guided visits in the Gellért Baths, the Museum of Applied Arts and the Academy of Music whose edifice, completed in 1907 features the richest interior decoration ever built in this style in the capital.
11
What is There to See and Do? Statue Park This is the world's only such collection from the period of communist rule since the collapse and the statues of communist leaders were removed from the streets. The statues of Lenin, Marx and Engels, Dimitrov as well as memorials to The Soviet Soldier can be seen at the park.
12
What is There to See and Do? Danube Dinner Cruise The Danube river both unites and divides Budapest and is where many of the cities sights are to be found all of them illuminated at night. A cruise along the Danube takes in many of these famous landmarks and includes dinner taken in the indoor restaurant.
13
What is There to See and Do? Folklore Evening Folklore evening with dinner, though not exactly a ‘typical Hungarian evening’, as it is often referred to, it’s sure to create a terrific atmosphere. Dinner is accompanied by a gypsy orchestra followed by a spectacular folk- dance show, performed by 2 pairs of dancers. Dances are taken from real Hungarian folklore.
14
What is There to See and Do? Duna Television A visit at this broadcasting company will introduce students to the world of making television programmes and shows the techniques and equipment used.
15
What is There to See and Do? Buda Castle & Labyrinth The Labyrinth of Buda Castle is the longest and most well-ordered visitable part of the cave system under the Castle Hill in Budapest.

Travel Tips Passport: All students travelling must hold a full passport. [In this space, please enter any visa requirements for the country your group is visiting, including any countries en-route. It is imperative that you advise students and parents on whether visas will be required. If you have any doubts, please contact the relevant embassy to check visa requirements, especially for non-British nationals. This could equally be relevant for British nationals dependent on the destination. You will need to apply in good time, as non-issue of visas is not covered under the cancellation section of your insurance, and you may not be allowed to travel as a result.] [If you will have a Collective Passport for your group, please say so here.] If you have any doubts about passports or visa requirements, please see me at the end of this presentation.

Travel Tips European Health Insurance Cards (EHIC) All NST tours are covered by travel insurance, but in addition all travellers should carry a European Health Insurance card. The new EHIC replaced the old E111 form in September 2005. Eligible group members will need to have the EHIC to benefit from the reciprocal health arrangements that have been established within the European Union and Switzerland. If required, card holders can receive medical treatment free of charge whilst on their visit, avoiding the need to claim back money from insurers. Children/wards are covered by a parent’s/guardian’s card. The card is valid for up to 5 years and there is no charge. Forms are available from Post Offices or on-line from www.dh.gov.uk/travellers.
