Anti-condensation is used to remove the possibility for water to condensate into the lower surface of the profile Anti-condensation absorbs and prevents water drops to emerge Usually used in cold storages and halls Factory installed

Technical information – fastening the profiles to the supporters
Profiles are fastened from the middle of the smooth part of the flange The sizes, types and quantities of the fasteners are defined by designer The minimum distances between the edge of the profile and the fastener are marked on the enclosed picture b = the width of the ”flat flange” The absolute minimum edge distance for the fastener is 25 mm

Sometimes, if the supporting structure is too narrow, it is possible to use a supporting sheet to “widen” the supporter The principle is demonstrated in the enclosed pictures

If there was an insulation to come, it would be impossible to put the fasteners on top of the profile (It would break the vapour barrier) This kind of fastening is used when the profile acts as a water roof

With Ruukki’s Poimu software you can calculate and optimise load-bearing sheets needed for the project. With the software you can choose the best load-bearing sheet type, thickness and static scheme quickly and efficiently. Safety at work Always wear protective clothing – especially safety gloves while working with profiles Be aware of the sharp edges of the profiles Don’t go under the load while profiles are being moved Ensure that the lifting belts are suitable for lifting (inspected in time) or use the lifting tool provided by Ruukki Try to avoid handling the profiles during heavy winds While moving on the roof, follow great caution and use certified safety rope (lifeline), safety anchor and safety boots with soft sole Always pay attention to the local safety regulations

The safety anchor device SA , attached to the load-bearing profiled sheet, is according to directive 89/689/EEC (CE-marked) Safety anchor SA is a safety device for working on roofs, which was designed and tested by Ruukki The device is only compatible with load-bearing profiled sheets manufactured by Ruukki, within the limits specified in the safety anchor’s usage instructions

Safety at work – lifting tool
The lifting tool is according to directive 2006/42/EY (CE-marked) It is meant to used in lifting Ruukki’s load bearing profiles It is possible to lift the profiles one at a time, or several together The bundles must be separated from each other by bedding timbers, height of minimum 70 mm, to be able to use the lifting tool The lifting tool is composed of two different main parts and of the lifting belt that combines them
