8 Tunnel installation - NCFE 8 Shielding wall is installed in place of the DTL-5 to allow parallel work in SC Linac section ISRC & LEBT – Installation/assembly in the tunnel 2 weeks – Beam commissioning 13 weeks – LEBT dismantling 1 m upstream the RFQ (for bead-pull); need to re-assemble before the RFQ beam commissioning! RFQ – Assembly & tuning 2 weeks – RF conditioning 15 weeks MEBT – Installation/assembly in tunnel 4 weeks during the RFQ conditioning window – need to interrupt the RFQ conditioning – Pre-assemble MEBT sections to minimize time spent in tunnel!
