2. “We know it too well. We understand it too little.” ‘Our Father in heaven…’ Our – community. Father – relationship. Heaven – authority.

3. God and His glory His name – ‘…hallowed be your name…’ Hallowed – make and treat as holy. Name – reveals aspects of His character. His kingdom – ‘…your kingdom come…’ Seen in conversion of sinners. Seen in commitment of Christians. Seen in coming of Jesus. His will – ‘…your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’

4. Man and our need. Give us – ‘Give us today our daily bread.’ Means confidence and contentment. Forgive us – ‘Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.’ If we have understood and received forgiveness then we will forgive. Lead us – ‘And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’
