3. LONG TERM GOALS 1)My first long term goal would be making the money to make it to post secondary school at BCIT 2)Getting myself known and getting credits so BCIT will accept me into there program. 3)Getting a student loan for school and getting accepted because the bank trusts you.

4. SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES AND CHARACTERISTICS -Skills that I will have to obtain are wanting to work all the time so I am not always calling in sick or making excuses not to go to work. Also being good with my hands and knowing what I am doing. -Some characteristics that I will need to build while becoming a contractor is to be tough on the job and learn that business is business and that no matter what business comes first except for family.

5. YEARS OF EDUCATION 1) You must have a high school diploma. 2) Also must have a degree to be a contractor. 3) Also having experience with contracting

6. SALARY OF A CONTRACTOR - When you are a contractor it depends how long the Contract is and how big the job is depending on how much you get paid.

7. JOB DESCRIPTION AND WHY I WANT TO BECOME A CONTRACTOR. A general contractor is responsible for providing all of the material, labor, equipment (such as engineering vehicles and tools) and services necessary for the construction of the project. The general contractor hires specialized subcontractors to perform all or portions of the construction work.

8. POST SECONDARY PROGRAM. POST SECONDARY PROGRAM. The Program The Construction Supervision program consists of nine courses: Construction Documents and Contracts, Basic Project Management Skills, Technical Writing/Interpersonal Skills, Basic Construction Design Principles, Construction Materials and Assemblies, Computer Applications in Construction, Safety Legislation, Environmental Legislation, and Construction Estimating. These courses build on the previous ones by introducing more comprehensive and complex issues. Students receive an Associate Certificate upon successful completion of the program.

9. POTENTIAL HURDLES 1)Getting into the right program that I want to do. Not something that I have to settle for that I am not interested in. 2)Getting enough money to get into BCIT and the right program I want to be in.
