2. The Slide The objective of the assignment was to capture photos that were compositionally strong. I’ve placed the subject on the upper left intersection with the bars he is sliding on acting as leading lines.

3. Just Keep Swimming The objective of the assignment was to capture compositionally strong photos. In this photo, I placed the subject, the turtle, on the upper intersection although I would have liked to place it on the lower right third instead.

4. Aquarium The objective of the assignment was to take compositionally strong pictures. I placed the subject on the right third. The additional two thirds leave interest as to what she is looking at…

5. One Shot One We had one shot to shoot what we knew. I focused on composition.

6. Sailboat Once again, these next three photos focus on composition. I placed the sailboat on the top left intersection with the horizon lying on the top third.

7. Fisherman Horizon is on the top third and fisherman is on the vertical right third.

8. The Sea Once again, the horizon lies on the top third and the subject is on the left vertical third.

9. One Shot Two The objective was to take our best photo- in one shot. I focused on composition as well as lighting. I used a reflector to brighten up the subjects face, with the sun being behind him.

10. Hero Portrait The objective was to take photos of our personal “hero.” My hero was my dad. I focused on composition and light balance. Afterwards, I altered the photo by placing a vignette and and brightened the subjects face. I also blurred the background.

11. Thinkin’ The goal was to crop an original “Rule of Thirds” photo. The subject was now placed on the left vertical third.

12. The Flow The was the second cropped image. As well as using a reflector, the subject is now placed more on the upper right intersection.

13. Smile My third cropped photograph. I removed unnecessary space from the right of Olivia.

14. Tree Texture; I took a close up picture of a tree to show off “texture.”

15. Spores Texture; An interesting image of lichens and spores taken from atop a sign, in which the viewer would probably never know.

16. Rusty Texture; this image signifies texture once again. As you can seem this is rust and paint chipping.

17. Awesomized! The goal was to awesomize an image from the texture series. I played with the saturation and hues levels.

18. Fence Negative Space; the image focuses on the contrast between the dark fence lines and the bright blue sky.

19. iHeart You Negative Space; The focus is on the implied negative space, in which I placed between the two hands.

20. Negative tree Negative Space; There is a strong contrast between the tree and the sky, making the subject much more stronger.

21. After the Storm Our objective is to alter our negative space photo. I chose my tree photograph and darkened the entire picture, as well as strengthened the contrast.

22. 8 Bit Ball I altered my photograph of a basketball hoop (for negative space). What I chose to do was apply the pixelated mosaic effect first, then use the paint tool to “draw” a basketball. I then shaded the basketball to look more realistic, and then used the mosaic filter once again. I finished the pic off by adding a glow vector to the ball.

23. Valentine Once again, the objective was to alter a photo. This picture, being of implied negative space, seemed interesting to me. I changed the hues and saturation levels to make it pink, and then applied the stained glass filter. Inside the filter I added a light setting. The photo now reminds me of a Valentine’s Day Card.
