The next priority relates to quality of life of employees and treating them with the dignity and respect they deserve.

3 Apple’s Supplier Code of Conduct “Apple is committed to ensuring that working conditions in Apple’s supply chain are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that manufacturing processes are environmentally responsible. Apple’s suppliers are obligated, in all of their activities, to operate in full compliance with the laws, rules, and regulations of the countries in which they operate. This Supplier Code of Conduct goes further, drawing upon internationally recognized standards, in order to advance social and environmental responsibility.”

4 Using Apple’s Supplier Code of Conduct Wintek’s obligations according to Apple: -Safe working conditions Wintek failed to provide safe working conditions for employees exposed to n-Hexane -Full compliance with the laws Wintek failed to follow laws requiring proper ventilation while using of n-Hexane Based off of requirements from Apple’s Supplier Code of Conduct, Wintek was obligated to remedy the situation with a firing, new warnings, and hospital costs.
