7 Suggestions for Successful Dating. Don’t give up on yourself if your rejected. Have the courage to date someone you like even if others do not agree. Don’t break a date unless you absolutely must. Show up on time.

13 What is Abstinence Def: The conscious decision not to participate in sexual activity and the skill to support that decision. Sexual Intimacy: Sharing of sexual feelings and sexual contact. Emotional Intimacy: Sharing of thoughts and feelings, Respecting others.

18 Avoiding Pressure Situations ***Remember people who want you to go against your morals are usually not concerned with your well-being *** To avoid Pressure you should…… 1.Identify and avoid situations that could lead to sex 2.Avoid alcohol and drugs. 3.Date those who share your morals/values.

20 Protective Factors Def: Anything that decreases the likelihood of someone engaging in a risky behavior. 1.Close relationship with parents. 2.Being involved in school activities. 3.Good performances in school. 4.Practicing religious beliefs. 5.Being committed to being sexually abstinent.

21 Risk Factors Def: Anything that increases the likelihood of injury, disease, or other negative health problems. 1.Alcohol and drug use. 2.Dating older people. 3.Sexually active friends. 4.Previous sexual activity.
