Mini Grant for Reserve Competitive Funds Project funds attendance to the 2012 Career Clusters Institute June 18 – 20, 2012 Washington, DC Covers travel, lodging, tolls/taxis/shuttle, car rental, resources (up to $500) and honorarium (up to $500) Get “NEW” re-validated cluster/pathway knowledge and skills Get “NEW” CTE Common Core Application due Monday, April 16, 2012; Approval letters sent by May 1, 2012 CONSIDER THE OPPORTUNITY!

To set up proctor Log on to Local Chapter Advisors Select “Identify Proctors for Online Testing” Enter the name and e-mail of the proctor Proctor’s will receive an e-mail with login information for the system. They will receive access id’s and passwords for students to take tests. THIS MUST BE DONE AHEAD OF MARCH 26 th !!!!

Healthy Lifestyles Holding Room Students should not be wondering around the training facility Need to be in the holding room when not participating in an event or attending the career fair Activities are being planned for this room at this time and we will send an updated agenda

Career Fair PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR STUDENTS TO ATTEND THIS!!!!!!!!!!!! These are our partners and people donating their time and energy. They should have the chance to talk to EVERY student and advisor attending.

Other tidbits… Cell Phones will not be allowed in events. Students will be disqualified if they go off during competitive events. Make sure your students are early to events. We do not want to keep our judges waiting, and we are on a tight time schedule. There will not be an advisors meeting this year. However, I will have an advisor information sheet in your packets.

Other tidbits, continued… Thank you cards-each chapter will receive 10 thank you cards again this year. I will give a list of people that need to receive these in the advisor packets. PLEASE have your student send ASAP after SLC. READ YOUR E-MAILS!!! I will be sending out more information in the coming weeks.
