What is a Scatter Plot? A scatter plot is used to show the relationship between two variables on a graph Data of two variables is called bivariate data A scatter plot shows multiple ordered pairs or points on a graph

Correlation Correlation is another way to describe the type of relationship there is between two variables There are three different types of correlation Positive Correlation Negative Correlation No Correlation

National Championship Tonight, March Madness comes to a close with North Carolina and Villanova competing in the National Championship We are going to make a Scatter Plot using what we think the score will be

March Madness Scatterplot The scores will be our data (North Carolina’s Score, Villanova’s Score) Ex: If I think the score will be 66 – 62 and UNC will win, my point is (66, 62) If I think Villanova will win 54 – 48, then my point is (48, 54)
