Plant mineral requirements
2
Why do we need these?
3
What minerals do plants need? Plants need mineral ions for healthy growth. Some of the most important minerals needed by plants are: How do plants obtain these minerals? The mineral ions are found in salts, dissolved in water. Plants obtain minerals when they absorb water from the soil. What type of salt are each of these elements found in? nitrogen potassium phosphorus magnesium nitrates phosphates potassium ions magnesium ions
4
Plants need mineral ions to control chemical activities, grow, and produce materials. The most important minerals are magnesium ions and nitrates.
