2 Current Situation Acadian Lines discontinuing service November 30, 2012 12 million dollar in losses since 2004 - simply not possible to provide service across the entire region in a profitable manner

3 Challenge Timing is of the essence for all stakeholders to agree on a new direction and meet the timelines to have a viable self sustaining regional service in place for December 1, 2012 A dedicated line run passenger and parcel service is a vital link between the highly populated municipal areas and the rural communities
