3 2 -Chairman: Prof. Jung, Hong-Joo (Sungkyunkwan University) Purpose of establishment -To make qualitative improvement in the Korean insurance market. Study objectives -To provide a professional education course to train insurance experts to develop pride in themselves. (SWIP Program) - To create a credibility culture in insurance services (Insurance appraisal services-KISSC) -To expand study of insurance in humanities & social science. 1. 5 4 -Sungkyunkwan University has many meeting facilities including Jobyungdo Hall which is the largest auditorium accommodating over 200 people. Jobyungdo Hall is located in the 600 Anniversary Building and 600 Anniversary Building has another meeting room which accommodates about 120 people. Moreover, we do have 5 or 6 more seminar rooms in Business School Building. The largest auditorium in Business School Building accommodates 120 people, and the other seminar rooms are designed for 50 people. Most auditoriums are newly renovated and they have the high level of technological support. (e.g. Jobyungdo Hall is equipped with an interpretation system). Probably, we can use more rooms for the concurrent sessions. 3. Facility

6 5 Sungkyunkwan University is currently building a new dormitory which will be completed in 2011. This dormitory, which is going to be called “Global Instruction Center”, probably would accommodate most attendees. And the rest of attendees may stay at International Guest House. Both of them are located in the Seoul campus where the meeting well be held. We can also provide accommodations to attendees in Suwon campus. It takes 40 minutes from Seoul to Suwon by car. All of these accommodations are clean and inexpensive. 4. Lodging

Attractions near SKKU ● Cheong Wa Dae (Blue House) : President’s Residence, Known as the Blue House or Cheong Wa Dae, this is the official residence of the Korean President. ● Gyeongbok Palace It was 1395, three years after the Joseon Dynasty was founded by Yi Seong-gye, when the construction of this palace was required because Seoul became a new capital of ancient Korea. ● Insa-dong Art District Insa-dong is a trendy art district of Seoul and so if you are an art lover or want to enjoy the ambiance of a traditional tea shop, this is the place to visit. ● Seoul Castle Seoul Castle was built in 1396, in the Joseon Dynasty and was meant to fortify the city and its important structures including the King's Palace and other key governmental institutions of the time.
