Physical Geography Mexico has 5 diverse landforms 1)The Plateau of Mexico –Makes up most of the country –Bordered by 2 mountain ranges (SM Oriental to the east & the SM Occidental to the west) 2) The Valley of Mexico –Located at the south end of the PofM –Includes the country’s capital, Mexico City(Orizaba-highest mtn.at 18,700 ft.)

8. Natural Resources 1) Mexico is the world’s leading silver producer 2) Petroleum is Mexico’s most valuable natural resource The country’s great oil & natural gas fields lie along the Gulf of Mexico (Most of Mexico’s oil is exported to the United States)
