Luminis is a SunGard product intended to maximize Banner integration. The Luminis TM Platform has been designed to provide a web portal with integrated enterprise applications to support the communication and business process needs of institutions of higher education. The goal of the platform is to unite the strategic vision with specific needs and desired functionality for institutional operations.

Luminis Portal technology is purposed to support the mission and institutional effectiveness of MSM and provide the following outcomes: Provide a campus-wide portal to provide stakeholders with a customizable interface to institutional information and services as well as external resources to maximize operations. Provide a single sign-on to Banner, institutional provided email, calendar and file sharing, and other application services. Effectively manage Human, Fiscal, and Physical Resources. Advance Morehouse School of Medicine 's Public Image Provide a sense of community and a place for information sharing.
