4 Background Quality Suite 2.0 implemented July 2013. Review process includes specific suggestions from the reviewer on how to change the course design or content to meet the standards. One of the standards most frequently not met is the Citation standard. http://quality.ecampusalberta.ca/writing- standards/citations/levels-of-achievement

5 Citation Standard…1 All quotations and other material, including graphic images, videos, online documents, Wikipedia articles, etc., used from outside sources are cited and attributed according to a consistent style within the course materials (e.g., using APA, MLA, Chicago or other consistent format).

6 Citation Standard…2 A reference list, works cited list, or bibliography includes all citations appropriately formatted following a standard citation style (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.). This can be presented in one location for the entire course, broken down for each module, or in other appropriate methods that allow learners to view sources of course content.

10 Why cite sources?...1 Academic integrity requires that educators cite sources to: Give credit for others’ ideas, Ensure their students can find the sources of those ideas, Empower their students’ learning by placing their learning in a wider context,

11 Why cite sources?...2 Hold themselves to the same standards of integrity they require of their students, and Model the citation process for those students.
