Total Score and Subject Subscores

Your total score is the combination of your evidenced-based reading/writing and math scores. The highest score you can earn in Reading/Writing: 760 (range 160-760) The highest score you can earn in Math: 760 (range 160-760) The highest TOTAL score you can earn: 1520 (range 320- 1520) These scores give you an idea of how you will do on the newly designed SAT and how ready you are for college.

Subject Scores, Subscores and Cross-Test Scores Scores in green represent your strengths. Scores in yellow and red represent where you can grow and improve.

National Merit Qualification National Merit Scholarships are for 11 th grade students only. If you see an asterisk (*) next to your index score, that means you did not meet the 2017 NMSQT qualification requirements.
