Lesson planning I’d like to start by looking at two questions : Why ? How ? Those two questions will be answered if we answer the following three questions 1. Planning for whom For the learner 2. Planning for what For the syllabus 3. Planning for when ? For the schedule

Function based syllabus Function based e.g 1. Ask for directions 2. Express agreement and disagreement

The schedule

The schedule.. Teacher normally plan for one lesson which they will execute one time or plan for one week lessons or one month lessons, or six months lessons or one year lessons. Teachers should plan lessons in advance so that they know which lesson from which book on which page number they should teach. Teachers should be aware in their mind of the lesson structure and the lesson stages even if they are on their way to class and without looking at their lesson plan.
