3. Literary Analysis Essay: Character Analysis Detailed Instructions Paragraph #1: Introduction Hook about the character and/or story that lead you to your thesis statement. Be sure you have identified the author and title of the story and the character you will be analyzing. Some questions you could address in your introduction include: What do you like/dislike about this character? Do you identify with this character on any level? Do you know someone similar to the character? Paragraphs #2 and #3: Body Paragraphs The topic sentence for each body paragraph includes one character trait you chose to describe your character. Follow the topic sentence with evidence from the story in the form of a TLQ.
