2. What is College Credit Plus? Unique opportunity for highly motivated students in grades 7-12 to get a jump start on their future Allows academically qualified students to enroll in courses at any participating college or university in Ohio

3. What is College Credit Plus? Students earn BOTH high school and college credit No cost to the student for the course or instructional material All courses are taught by qualified college instructors College Credit Plus students have access to Northwest State’s student academic support services

4. What is College Credit Plus? Classes can be taken on campus, online or at the high school (in some cases) Classes are transferable After graduation, students can choose to complete their associate degree from Northwest State, or transfer their credits to a four-year college or university

The College Difference Structured Environment Daily schedule is routine Day begins and ends as a school group Attend five days a week Few course choices Mandatory attendance High School Manage Your Own Time Routine changes every day Classes may be online, face- to-face or combination Not all instructors take attendance It may appear that you have “free time” College

The College Difference Minimal Outside Work Assigned readings are often done in class Discussion is teacher led Listening in class is enough Lessons are read and reviewed High School Significant Outside Work For every hour you spend in class, you should plan on three hours of outside studying and assignments (For a 3 credit hour class, you are in class for about 2.5 hours, which equals 7.5 hours of studying.) College

College Credit Plus Class Types Online All content, assignments, projects, discussions & tests online No scheduled class meeting times Students work on the coursework when their schedule permits Online classes still have due dates & deadlines * Students interested in taking an online class must pass the Online Learning Readiness Assessment (OLR) prior to registering for classes
