29 6 Corporate Social Responsibility In the midst of growing Business we have never forgotten our social responsibilities and are proud to be associated with HOLY FAMILY ASHA NIWAS, an Orphanage for street girls in Delhi, besides others.Holy Family Asha Niwas is an Orphanage for street girls in Delhi, little girls who are abandoned, run away or children of commercial sex workers wandering in railway stations and streets, eating from dustbins and leftovers from travellers. They are picked up by social workers and are referred to safe and enriching shelter at Asha Niwas. In 2001, the Sisters of the Holy Family congregation started to take care of 5 children at Mahavir Enclave, providing them with food, shelter, health care, education, protection and rehabilitation. The number of children in the orphanage has grown steadily. There are altogether (ninty) girls today accommodated in two campuses – Mahavir Enclave and Najafgarh, New Delhi. Holy Family Asha Niwas. Our Managing Director is also actively involved in education of poor girls in his personal capacity. He and his family contributes to various welfare schemes for under privileged society.
