Show & Sell Make arrangements for Scouts to set up in front of stores to sell. Ask store manager for permission several weeks in advance Assign Scouts (2-3) and parents in two hour blocks DO NOT open up microwave boxes Divide sales equally among Scouts who participate Use leftover product to fulfill take order needs Apply donations received towards your military sales

Take Order Scouts use an order form (in the family guide) to go door-to-door or sell to family and friends. Establish your dates – take order sales typically start immediately after kickoff. Determine sales territory Create a “Blitz Day” to have Dens sell as a group activity Have parent(s) take an order form to work REMEMBER! Two out of three people will buy when asked, but less than 20% of households have been contacted.

Online Selling Scouts sell to far-away friends and family and Trail’s End ships the product directly to the consumer. Commission All units start with 33% commission. Follow these guidelines for 35% commission. 1.Attend Council Kickoff. 2.Turn in Unit Kernel name by August 17. 3.Show-N-Sell orders placed ONLINE by August 17. 4.Turn-in Unit Goal and Per Scout goal by August 28. 5.Submit date and time of Unit Kick-off by August 28. 6.Hold Unit Kick-off by September 26. 7.Report and attend/ hold a Blitz Day by October 23. 8.Take orders and Unit Prize Orders submitted ONLINE by November 2. 9.Unit sells 10% more than last year with a minimum of $1,500. 10.All money due to Council by December 4.

So What Are We Selling? A great new product called a Popcorn Discount Card with great discounts that are unique to the Coastal Georgia Council Service Area! Sold for only $10.00 Plus MORE sponsors not listed here! Value = hundreds of dollars per Popcorn Card

The Popcorn Card Discount Card for up to 30 businesses in the Coastal Georgia Council per card. Each district has their own card. Over 28 coupons can be used multiple times depending on the card you buy. The Popcorn Card discounts are not set to expire until December 31, 2016. Any BSA unit can sell the cards: –Cub Scouts –Boy Scouts –Venturers –Explorers –Most outside groups (with Council approval) What is it and who can sell them?

Why sell this Card? It is yet another option for your customers to purchase a low cost $10.00 product to help the Scouts. If your customers don’t like popcorn, they may like popcorn cards instead! Great $5.00 Commission per card sold**! Easy Sales – Special Edition Patch Incentives!(See flyer) It should be sold in addition to the other popcorn products for best overall sale results. This will complement your product sale!

Will this Card Hurt my Popcorn Sales? No! it is another option for your customers to purchase a low cost product to help the Scouts! Many customers tell us they don’t like popcorn and they would buy from the Scouts if they had another product to offer Example: Military sales have more than tripled since it was introduced a few years ago through out the country and this Council! Card sales will complement your current popcorn sales if sold in combination!

Will this Card Hurt my Spring Camp Card Sales ? No! The spring card will be sold for $5.00 and will be sold to different customers for the most part! Customers who buy camp cards tell us all the time if the Scouts would come back in a few months they would buy another card! To back this up research has been conducted that proves 80% of 1 st time customers say they would buy the same card again if asked. People are always looking for a great low cost value for their hard earned money!

Unsold $10.00 Popcorn Cards Can We Return Unsold Cards? YES*! and you won’t be charged for them if done so by the end of the sale (cards must retain the snap-off coupons!). Will we be penalized if we do not return lost, stolen or unsold cards? YES! You will be charged the $5.00 price for each unreturned card Note: All prize selections will be final. All patch incentives will be delivered to your home & can be picked up at the Scout Service Centers in December when you close out the unit popcorn sale

Popcorn Card Incentives* Scouts who sell a minimum of 25 cards will receive a Collector’s Edition Card Shark Club CSP Bronze Level Patch Scouts who sell a minimum of 50 cards will receive a Collector’s Edition Card Shark Club CSP Silver Level Patch plus the Bronze Level Patch Scouts who sell a minimum of 100 cards will receive a Collector’s Edition Card Shark Club CSP Gold Level Patch plus the Silver and Bronze Level Patches All other incentives are the same as the popcorn sale incentives Popcorn Cards are optional to sell but all card sales apply to your total individual popcorn combined sale level prize incentives!
