3. What is an Engineer’s Notebook? Engineers document all work completed for a project in chronological order including; Ideas Sketches Photos screen captures research notes meeting details work session notes

4. What is the purpose of an Engineer’s Notebook? Allows engineers to review their work during the project. Allows engineers to review the design of a failing product. May be used to prove original ideas or solutions for new patents. May be used in court to prove an engineer or company did its due diligence in the design of a defective product if they are being sued for negligence.
