Code of Conduct Players and Parents agreed to abide by our Code of Conduct upon registration Coaches/Managers are responsible for players and parents conduct.

Code of Conduct Coaches/Managers are also required to sign a Code of Conduct Form. Coaches/Managers are responsible for many things other than teaching game of soccer. Your actions, ideas, sportsmanship, and behavior on and off the field will be remembered the rest of their lives. Due within 1 week of start of season. Be a Positive Role Model!

U9 – U10 Players 6 v 6 Format, No. 4 ball Medium-sized Fields and Goals Volunteer Coach Two (2) 25 minute periods; 5 minute half- time Goal Keeper introduced, 5 field players Off side rule in place All players are required to play 50% of each game. Conventional referee format.

U9 – U10 Training U9-U10 teams may practice two (2) times per week; location/time determined by coach.

U9-U10 Scoring System 3 points for a win 1 point for a tie Zero points for loss No additional points for goals scored Games decided by a difference of 7 goals or more will result in zero points awarded to winning team!

U9-U10 Game Report All coaches of U9 and U10 teams must turn in a game report. Game reports are the responsibility of the home team, but should be brought to the game by both coaches. These can be printed from GotSoccer. Filled out game reports must be presented to the referee prior to the start of the game by the home team.

U9-U10 Game Report Both teams shall check in with the referee, who will confirm the rosters. After game is complete, referee will note official score on game card. Each coach shall record the game score directly into the GotSoccer system. If the entries match, the game will automatically be entered into the system. Otherwise, the scheduler will enter the score noted on the official game card.

U9-U10 Game Report The report must also be turned in by winning team by either e-mailing to scheduler@cyfairsoccer.org, or drop it in the mailbox at the gazebo. The original game report will be used in case of dispute. scheduler@cyfairsoccer.org All game reports are due into the scheduler by the Monday following the game.

Rescheduling Games Cy-Fair Soccer Club Scheduler handles the U9- U10 Teams; U11 & up teams are scheduled through TYSA. (www.timberlinesoccer.com). For U9-U10 teams, each team may re-schedule only one (1) game during the season. Both coaches must agree to the re-schedule. No games will be re-scheduled in the last two (2) weeks of the season.

Rescheduling Games The team initiating the change will send a written request to the scheduler at least 10 days prior to the original game via email at scheduler@cyfairsoccer.org with the revised date and time requested for the re- scheduled game. The scheduler will then contact you once the rescheduled game is approved. The scheduler has the right to deny the request for any reason. scheduler@cyfairsoccer.org

Team Manager Each team is required to have a team manager. The team manager assists the coach/trainer with team communication. Register as team manager through “GotSoccer” system.

Coaches Guide After receiving roster, contact all players on your roster within 4 days. Coaches may not switch players or alter roster in any way. Set time and place for first practice, as applicable. Register yourself, assistant coaches, team managers, etc. in GotSoccer. You must register and complete background check in order to have access to your team information and view the Spring schedules.

Coaches Guide As a team, pick a team name. Contact with Cy-Fair Soccer should include team age group, gender, and coaches name. The system does not list teams by team names. Select Team Manager. Sign coaches conduct form and inform parents of Cy-Fair Soccer’s expectations for behavior while at the park.

Coaches Guide Home team is responsible to provide game ball. All coaches must attend a coaches module if they have been coaching more than one (1) year. All coaches agree to leave fields immediately if Dynamos Staff or Board Member asks due to lightning. All coaches agree not to yell at players, refs, other coaches, or parents.

Coaches Guide If you have a concern, speak with the ref during half time. If questions or concerns not addressed, speak with referee coordinator after the game. Please remember, decision of the referee is final!

Coaches Guide Coaches shall agree not to run up the score on the other team. After 4 to 6 goals, coaches should suggest having all of the players touch the ball before shooting, two (2) passes per player before shooting, only using left foot, head, etc. to work on other aspects of their game.

Coaches Guide All players must play minimum of 50% of the game. TYSA restricts Div. 4 recreational players to three (3) contact hours per week. Dyess and Zube Parks are available to Cy-Fair Soccer members. ◦ Dyess Fields 6 and 8 are reserved for First Touch and Future Stars. ◦ Dyess Fields 1, 2, and 3 are currently reserved for Dynamos Training.

Uniform Distribution Uniform Pick-up; next week (2/8 – 2/11) during office hours. Missing items – notify Lisa Griffin, Club Administrator Hand Out Uniforms ◦ Don’t let kids pick their numbers. ◦ Prioritize by size. ◦ Encourage inter-player swap. No customizations to uniforms without Board approval. Cy-Fair Soccer reserves the right to deny a sponsor name. In addition, anything other than a sponsor name needs to be approved by the Cy-Fair Soccer Board. No names or writing may be placed on the front of the jersey.

Equipment Needs Players ◦ Ball, shin guards, proper shoes, weather appropriate clothing for training, water bottle. Coaches ◦ Cones, game ball provided by Cy-Fair Soccer. ◦ Optional: bibs/vests, air pump, first aid kit, ice and bags, extra water, portable goals.

Game Organization Pregame: ◦ Confirm field number, player availability, arrival time for game, determine team warm up exercises, etc. Half-Time: ◦ Discuss strategy, promote water, assess injuries/fitness, determine substitutions, etc. Post-game: ◦ Regeneration, water, announcements, NO MATCH ANALYSIS!

U10 – U12 Coaching Module Next Module TBD ◦ Must have classroom session completed prior to field session to participate. Cost $40, reimbursed by CFSC. Must complete within 1 year of coaching.

Positive Coaching Alliance Module On-line course that teaches positive life lessons through participation in sports ◦ 1-2 hour course. Cost $16 paid for by CFYSC. Each coach is given user name/password to log onto site. Once complete, each coach is given a certificate, e-mail to Bob Woodward. Must complete by 2 nd game.
