19 Skype for Business o Previously known as Lync o The Lync 2013 app has been renamed and given a new UI to resemble the Skype consumer app o Now allows you to connect with consumer Skype users o The app does both instant messaging chat and meetings o However, you are unable to initiate a meeting, instead you can only join existing scheduled meetings

20 Instant messaging differentiators The desktop version of Skype for Business provides a familiar buddy list on startup But when you launch the Skype for Business mobile app you get a blank screen The buddy list is hidden in the ‘Contacts’ page. On top of that, you cannot add new contacts to your buddy list
