The 2016 Games Charter The Sunshine Coast 2016 Australasian Police & Emergency Services Games invites all police and emergency services personnel both active and retired, regardless of gender, cultural persuasion or sporting ability, to be involved in an event that embraces fair competition, a positive and healthy lifestyle and social interface with other athletes and the Community of the Sunshine Coast & Queensland.

MISSION STATEMENT The Sunshine Coast 2016 Australasian Police & Emergency Services Games will be reflective of large sporting events held in Queensland by providing outstanding venues, diverse sporting events, strong competition and an engaging social calendar that harnesses the ‘naturally refreshing ‘ Sunshine Coast and the community

7. Key Objectives  To plan and stage a first class multi-sport event with a concurrent social events program to maximise the level of satisfaction of participants.  To recruit 3,000 plus competitors & encourage patronage of the event to 6,000 emergency service supporters from all over Australasia.  To deliver the 2016 Games within Budget.  To secure funds and / or support from Government, Institutional and Corporate supporters in accordance with Sponsorship guidelines.  To provide a strong base for the continued development of Police & Emergency Services Sport in Australasia and the South Pacific with an emphasis on encouraging more women in sport.  To market the games as a friendly interactive event, engaging the community of the Sunshine Coast.
