Last Measurements The tuner plate has been machined and the cavity with its tuner has been measured Measured frequency100.885 MHz Simulation 100.816 MHz -32 kHz (air) +77 kHz (shorter antenna) 100.861 MHz ∆ Frequency24 kHz Goal frequency~100.900 MHz 2

Ohmic dissipation on the Power Coupler Line 12345 Top of the cryostat 631013162000 The line has been divided in 5 pieces. The dimensions are in mm We will propagate the reflection coefficient along the line 0x 12345 L1L1 L2L2 L3L3 L4L4 L5L5 3

Comments The goal for the hot frequency has been fully achieved We have not yet evaluated the contribution of the N connectors (4 connectors) as we have not yet decided their position Even if the total power is almost the double with respect for instance to the one dissipated on the Triumf coupler, we foresee a lower thermal charge on the cavity wall as we have only a thermal capacitance between internal and external conductor while in Triumf there is a direct contact (loop) giving a thermal resistance To use a thermal shielding material between the cavity wall and the coupler is always possible 5

Future Plans Now Two abstracts at SRF09 : A. D’Elia, R. M. Jones, M. Pasini, “HIE-ISOLDE high beta cavity study and measurement” and A. D’Elia, M. Pasini, “Design and characterization of the power coupler line for HIE-ISOLDE high beta cavity” Starting writing an internal report (probably two) containing the cavity design and parameters and the analysis of the coupler line Medium term Moving towards cryogenic measurements and tests probably in Vancouver Long term Design of the low beta cavity Further optimization of the high beta cavity for a simplification of the design together with Matthew 6

CLIC Plans Realization of the RDDS structure – Understanding better the detail of the structure – Fixing the geometrical parameters Study of the Wakefield Monitor Study of the power coupler Define the priorities 7
