7 Global Strategy A global alternative financing business integrating trade finance and trading. Based on the success of its Brazilian factoring business Providence recognises that it can provide a different way of financing international trade for small and medium size enterprises (SMEs). In the markets it enters Providence is an enabler for SMEs focused on exporting their production (generally agricultural production). We join trade and financing, not only providing the financial resources, but also providing brokerage expertise and sales consulting to such businesses to export their goods and services. In this sense Providence employs a vertically integrated business model.

8 Global Strategy Providence structures its global operations in various countries in different ways, adapting to the available business structures on a jurisdiction by jurisdiction basis, but always with the objective of providing a platform to provide the needed leverage to grow and develop international trade for SME businesses. In comparison to the current banking approach, Providence companies add more value to their “business partners”, as we provide much more than just financial resources. With this integrated view of the international trade business supply chain, and the profit margins in the multiple transaction points of such chain, Providence companies create a more sustainable and solid solution for international trading and financing than that provided by traditional banks.
