Page Test Overview ADP Algebra I & II End-Of-Course Exam Multiple choice, short answer, and extended response items Untimed test Algebra I: approximately 120 minutes to complete – 60 minutes per section Algebra II: approximately 180 minutes to complete – 90 minutes per section Test can be administered in a single day or each section can be administered on consecutive days

Page Proctor Roles and Responsibilities Overview The proctor is responsible for: Preparing the room for testing Distributing test materials (authorization tickets and scratch paper) Reading directions to students Clearing students’ calculators before and after the exam Proctoring the exam Collecting test materials from students Security in the testing room

Proctor Roles and Responsibilities Overview At least one week prior to testing, verify: Test Sessions have been set up and students are assigned to the test session Test content has been cached (if using proctor caching) If test sessions are not set up or content is not cached, work with your testing coordinator to complete these tasks On the day of testing, the Test Coordinator should provide: Authorization tickets Scratch paper Seal Codes Sheet

Page Starting the Test Session Go to Test Management Click Manage Test Sessions Click the name of the session you will be proctoring Click Start Choose Yes - start session Return to the Session Details screen or to the Test Management Screen

Monitoring the Test Session Monitor student progress in PearsonAccess Status indicators Ready: student has not yet started the test Active: student is currently testing Exited: student exited TestNav without submitting answers (student cannot resume test unless authorized by test administrator) Resumed: the student has been authorized to resume the test Resumed – Upload: the student has been authorized to resume the test and any responses saved locally have been uploaded Submitted: student has completed the test and submitted answers Completed: the submitted test data has been processed Marked Complete: the student has exited TestNav and will not resume the same test or the student never logged into this test, but must be accounted for

Monitoring the Test Session Resuming a Test Check the box next to the student test(s) to be resumed Click Resume Test Students previously in Exited status will change to Resumed Students previously in Active status will change to Resume - Upload Two ways for a student to exit a test Exit – Student can log back in after test is resumed by the Proctor. Submit – Exit and SCORE the test. This is final. Student can not log back in to the test. Note: Note: If students are taking the test in two separate sessions (e.g. over two days), students should remain in exited status after the first session and the test session should remain in Started status. To begin testing on the second day, resume all students’ tests.

Monitoring the Test Session Students should: Click on a test question to review it Click on Save and Exit if they plan to return to the test later Click on Submit if they are done and want to score the test

Monitoring the Test Session Students should : Click on No, return to the test if they don't want to submit and score the test Click on Yes, submit my test if they want to submit and score the test

Stopping the Test Session To stop the session (after the final session): Do not stop the session until the both the non-calculator and calculator sessions have been completed by all students. Note: If students are taking the test in two separate sessions (e.g. over two days), students should remain in exited status after the first session and the test session should remain in Started status Verify all students have a status of Completed or Marked Complete. The Stop button will not be available until all students have a testing status of Completed or Marked Complete Click the Stop button on the Session Details screen

Stopping the Test Session If a student cannot submit his or her own test, mark the test complete. The Test Coordinator may need to complete this task depending on your access.

Trouble-shooting Periodically, students will receive an error message. The following slides should help to determine why the error appeared and how to remedy the error.

Unable to Locate SRF File Student was in Resume-Upload status and TestNav did not find an Saved Response File (SRF) on login Check if student SRF is stored elsewhere if they were previously testing on another machine or location Browse to SRF file and click on Upload Response File
