2 REGION SNAPSHOT The Region by numbers 5,122 – the number of registered footballers in 2013 in AFL Victoria Country Competitions 1770 –the number of Auskick participants (Victorian centres) 21 – the Number of Auskick centres (Victorian) 1055 – the Number of Auskick participants (NSW centres) 6 – the number of Auskick centres (NSW) 182 - The number of coaches in 2013 Less than 60% the number of coaches accredited

3 REGION SNAPSHOT The Region by numbers 179 - The number of Umpires registered with an umpiring body, excl. club umpires. 91 - The number of field umpires 53 - The number of boundary umpires 35 - The number of goal umpires 48% the percentage of registered with the umpiring body in 2013 over 50 30% aged between 40 – 49 years of age

4 REGION SNAPSHOT The Region by numbers $31.1 million - The Economic impact of football in the North East Border Region 6 - The number of AFL Player Visitation Programs delivered in the Region during 2013. Teams included Essendon (Alpine), North Melbourne (Wang), Carlton (Wodonga), Hawthorn (Benalla), St.Kilda (Yarrawonga) and Richmond (Albury). 1 - AFL Community Camp – Essendon in Wangaratta 11,000 - the number of people who attend the AFL NAB Cup game Essendon v Richmond at Wangaratta

6 REGION SNAPSHOT The Region in 2013 Establish a Commission and appointment of a Region General Manager Established a Region Administration Centre with offices in Wangaratta and Albury Inducted 2 additional Football Development Managers Completed a Regional Report on participation including Auskick centres, Clubs, Umpires, Schools, new participation programs Conducted a Regional Facilities Audit Commissioned an independent Economic Impact Report Completed individual Local Government Area participation, growth and facility requirement projections Authorised and completed a Review of the OKFNL

12 AFLNEB Umpiring Panel Training & Coaching  Senior Discipline Coaches to appoint all umpires across region  Training each Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm at: - Wodonga Senior Secondary College - Norm Minns Oval  Training Program is being supported by Matt Glossop (Bushrangers High Performance Manager)  Coaching to be consistent across region  Regular Feedback and Direction to Umpires  Better use of video in feedback and coaching of Umpires  Support umpires in State Umpiring Development Programs
