You don’t necessarily have to bring parking experience with you. What you do need is: Diligence Hard Work Creativity Sense of Humor Good Communications Skills and A Desire to Excel!

Developing a Plan What do you want to do? Identify a career path. Network with other professionals both inside and outside the industry. Work with a Mentor. Parking as a Career Choice There has been a dramatic increase in the recognition of parking as a profession and thus the acceptance of the concept of a "parking professional“. Technology has become a core element of our industry. The really competent parking professional must be well-versed in accounting, general management, economic development, computer applications, statistics, marketing, facilities maintenance, public relations, risk management, contract law, labor law, and (sometimes, parenting skills).
