1. St. Patrick’s Day On Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 March in San Francisco they celebrated St. Patrick’s Day. He was a Scottish Christian missionary and now he is the patron of Ireland. In the streets of the centre it was possible to see many people dancing and singing to honour this saint; many people were dressed in green, the colour of Ireland. On Sunday evening with my “host family" I went to the house of some friends and we ate typical Irish food: cabbage, potatoes, pork with typical sauces, beer and tea. It was a nice experience: I was very close to American families and I could observe their life, their customs and I noticed with pleasure that they are still very attached to tradition.
