2. Description This template is not mandatory. You may add a corporate logo, change colors, change fonts, etc. However, do so carefully! Maintain 4:3 aspect ratio.

3. Recommendations Sans serif fonts, like this one, are easier to read. Font sizes below 18 pt will be unreadable. Main body text should be at LEAST 30 pt font.

4. More Recommendations Target six lines of text per slide, or fewer. Let figures speak for themselves. Avoid unusual fonts.

5. Suggestions If you feel you must have an overview slide, go ahead, but proceed to the content quickly. Consider the presentation a way to convince the audience to read your paper.

6. More Suggestions Practice! Keep the PowerPoint length reasonable, e.g. 10-12 slides Use a lot of figures, e.g., every slide or two should have one

7. Use of color Use color as appropriate to highlight your results If possible, do NOT rely on color alone to communicate Use shapes, line styles, etc. Up to 10% of men are colorblind

8. Legal Your presentation is a public disclosure, so do not include anything proprietary. It is still YOUR intellectual property. Technical Sessions must be non- commercial
