35 Key Takeaways Nationally Business outlook is positive. 7-in-10 (74%) say they have a positive business outlook for the next 12 months. Government under-delivering. Just 24% said the Government is doing enough for businesses like them, compared with 62% who said they are not doing enough. However it is an improvement on last year (82%). Low awareness/uptake of government grants. Only 11% of IT decision makers are aware of government technology/business grants. Working on the road and working from home is common. 6-in-10 (61%) IT decision makers say some of their staff work from home on a regular basis, while half (52%) say some of their staff work while on the road. Cloud computing on the rise but gap in cloud knowledge exists. Company email is accessible outside the office at 82+%, company documents is lower at 40+%, CRM access is 29+%, while access to hosted/cloud phone systems is lowest across devices at 23+%. However, when asked if they have implemented any cloud services in their business, only 51% say they have. This suggests a lack of understanding of what the cloud is and how it works. Standard telephone lines on the decline. Only 11% using standard telephone lines only.
