Once you have developed that heartfelt speech, why not start a membership initiative to invite others to become a part of the Kiwanis family?

Step 1: Prepare Two months before your event, choose your team and appoint members to take on the following tasks: Project lead Attendance Venue Program Public relations Follow up Create handouts and purchase supplies

Step 1: Prepare (continued) Six weeks before your event: Pick a date and time Pick a venue Pick a theme Plan your agenda

Step 2: Invite One month before: Develop prospect list Three weeks before: Mail out the invitation One or two weeks before: Extend personal invitations

On the big day Focus on hospitality Welcome everyone Print name tags Practice for perfection Be prepared Keep it positive

LIVE IT… …is what happens when Kiwanis members love their experience, and by sharing it with others, strengthen their clubs.

Live The Formula How many of you wear your badge to the grocery store or during other errands on the way home from a Kiwanis meeting? How many of you wear clothing with the Kiwanis logo on days that you do not have Kiwanis projects and/or meetings? Do you proudly display your Kiwanis pin on your clothing?
