3 Then and Now Where I Was When I Started 12 years teaching experience Lots of passion Did not know the details of what it takes to be a leader In the middle of exploration –Worked in 10 different schools –Observed/Toured over 30 different schools –Interviewing ed leaders Where I am Now Assistant Principal at K-8 charter school, learning about the deep context of being a leader My learning about leadership is deepening I’m realizing what I do and don’t know, and how I can bring my knowledge to bear on complex situations I know where resources are and how to find what I need
